Actually there is a golf course about 10-12 km away. But due to the 4WD access only roads takes about 40-50 min to set to :-) > Which way to the bar? No bar just well stocked eskies :-) > (nice photo - my type of country!) It is a beautiful spot. Except for the odd quad bike, tiger snakes & massive ticks, it's very relaxing. Apparently the fishing offshore is amazing. This place is quite close to The Pinnacles so that's another sight to see. Basically its an old fishing village that suddenly found itself surrounded by national park :-) There is 1 "road" in & it's 4WD only. I have a better pano taken at sunset the night before, from the hill that you can see on the right, that shows off the "town" of Grey (~500kb): <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3068/3074663870_1355bed76f_o.jpg> Here is another pano I took at the Pinnacles: <small ~210kb) <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3050/3071174906_6516bfaa95_b.jpg> (large ~ 1.9MB): <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3050/3071174906_d641ee6778_o.jpg> And here is the view looking west at the dunes near Grey (~225kb): <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3121/3089513480_a4f5f185b3_o.jpg> However I'm still finding pockets of sand in my camera bag 2 weeks later :-) Cheers, Dave > On Fri, 12 Dec 2008 10:22:22 +0900, "David Savage" <[email protected]> > said: >> G'day All, >> >> I was fortunate enough to stay there recently & of course had to take >> a photo of it. >> >> So revel in the majesty of the architecture & the surrounding >> landscape in full panoramic glory: >> >> Small (~100kb) >> <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3112/3100437578_a156c7dd0c_b.jpg> >> >> Large (~3.8MB this is about 1/3rd of the original size) >> <http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3112/3100437578_208b8ca050_o.jpg> >> >> Nikon Dsomthingorother, 27 frames hand-held, blah, blah, blah. >> >> Comments welcome. >> >> Cheers, >> >> Dave >> > -- > > > -- > http://www.fastmail.fm - Does exactly what it says on the tin > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
