When I'm carrying two cameras at an event, I have them in a shoulder bag big enough to handle both cameras with the lenses I'm going to use on them, and a hand strap on each one. That way, as I need one or the other, I just drop the one that I'm putting down back into its slot in the bag, and pick up the other one.
