I don't know what SP550 is. An Olympus camera? For macro I use and old Tamrom SP 2.5 90mm. Its not auto focus, but who needs AF for macro? (The later AF SP AF 2.5 90 mm is quite famous for it's sharpnes). http://www.flickr.com/photos/bladt/272258624/
It's fine as long as you don't use direct flash, whish creates a blueish spots in the centre of the images (I wonder why??). You may get one for less than 100 USD on the used market.
