This is the msg that would not go out yesterday... I don't think my K100 D auto-focuses worth a damn. I didn't like the way my K10 D auto-focuses either, so it's at Pentax right now, a week before it's warranty was to run out. The K100 will follow it when it returns, as it's extended (by virtue of a repair last year) warranty is up in early October. And to make me maybe happy about all this less than stellar Pentax gear of late, I ordered a K20 D body yesterday. Is it going to work, or is it destined to Pentax Repair as well? I've read about backfocusing problems, which my gear exhibits. And poor predictive AF, another problem with fast moving critters. I've run a series of tests (don't we all) comparing handheld and tripod mounted AF vs manual focus. I achieve not only better focus manually 95% of the time, but by a large margin. I've been occupying my time the past few days - A. photographing the dogs at the local leash free area, and B. trying out iWeb on my iMac to put together a page for my "Me" website. There are a bunch of images, and they tell a story. I'm not claiming photographic expertise. I have not gone through to link each to a larger copy as yet, for reasons explained above. Nor have I cropped any, most of which need it, I know. That's for next week! Lots of words. Sorry. Take a look, and please comment. http://web.me.com/jomac/show.me/Alornerk.html Joseph -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
