I took the negatives and the contact sheet to a
third lab tonight, and the guy looked at the
negative with some sort of machine and said that
the machine wouldn't be able to make the prints,
and I'd have to get them printed manually. I guess
I could wait until I learn darkroom skills,
someday, or perhaps I could get a negative scanner
that would be bright enough or whatever to scan
the negatives. Or do I need to go to a lab that
does manual work and spend a ton of money to get
prints? What's the best way to handle this? Is
there a lab anyone could recommend for this sort
of work?

Thanks,
Amita
