I'm late on this.One of my everlasting catching up projects :-)

First, the composition, rendering and such is as usual, fine.
And that's all fine. But what matters is the introvert quality of the scene.
You have captured a waiting child in her own private bubble.
More face would have spoiled that effect, and IMO ruined the picture.
