The Howard Astronomical League had an outing last Wednesday night. The first successful event in quite a while. We tried the previous Saturday. I got there just in time for a really hard downpour. Wednesday was really nice weather- warm, no dew, and no clouds. I got some pictures of stars, and astronomers. Canon 10D, Tokina 12-24mm f4 lens wide open, exposures from 1/8 to 56 sec, ISO 100 to 400.

"viewfinder" ( no optics, just a frame with a cold shoe I use for aiming with a pin hole lens.) The camera viewfinder is pretty much useless for stars. The Tokina lets me cheat- set the lens to infinity and let depth of field do its magic. [The moon pictures were made last year] Cheers Mike -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
