There's a machine out there, but I can't remember the name, that's almost a "Universal Fabricator" for plastic stuff. You import a 3D CAD drawing of the part into their software, and the machine fabricates the part out of a vat of molten plastic, using a laser (I think) to "congeal" the plastic into a solid mass out of the vat of molten stuff.
