I use a tripod fairly often. I use one for every static car shot. I shoot those fairly often for mags. I sometimes shoot home interiors or exteriors for mags or real estate agents. I always use a tripod for that. I don't get many opportunities for landscape photography, but I think I'd always use a tripod for a landscape photo that I considered important. I don't use a tripod for model portfolios in the studio or for any wedding or event shots. Sometimes you need more speed and flexibility.
