I'll look into the stacking thing again as soon as some decent macro subjects present themselves. Normally I use this technique more on the microscope than for bigger things.. I've sometimes stacked 120 -- or more exposures. When the depth of focus is a micrometer, steps should be about be half that, and go on and on and on. It's sometimes difficult to know when to stop.
