Bad luck. Good shot.

I remember the good old days. When people had LXs the stories went
something like this:

I was on top of the Matterhorn and saw an eagle coming towards me with
a lamb in its talons, so I reached for the LX. Unfortunately, because
of the ice, it slipped from my fingers and bounced down the mountain
into a waterfall. From there it was carried to the ocean where it
became engulfed in the largest oil spill the world has ever known. So
I fished it out and put it in a bucket of water on the roof of my car.
Carelessly, when I set off I had forgotten about the LX in the bucket
and it was only after I had driven several miles when, swerving to
avoid a column of tanks, the LX fell off the roof onto the concrete
road surface. Only 10 of the tanks drove directly over it, so I
suppose I was a bit lucky there, but unfortunately one of them pushed
it so far into the ground that it set off a small thermonuclear
landmine which had been left there since the Cold War. But the blast
was entirely upward, so after the LX had gone through the jets of a
passing fighter plane it fell to the ground and, to my amazement,
landed in my picnic basket and squashed a grape.

Anyway, I checked it over and there were a couple of marks on the
viewfinder, but otherwise it was ok. The film was a bit buckled
though, probably from the heat of the landmine.
