Thanks Mike! In the light (after sunset!) it was rather different, somewhat flat. I was afraid I couldn't get the whole tonal range in as the window was so bright. I did a 3 exposure bracket (.7EV steps) and worked all three exposures. This was the one reflecting what I had in mind, made without using HDR or other compositing techniques.
