When I was looking at some landscape pics that I shot with my new DA* 16-50, I noticed that the right side of the images seemed less crisp than the left.
So I did the "lens test chart" thing with the following results: http://www.westerickson.net/misc/ProblemDAStar1650.jpg These are scans of 4x6 prints that I plan to send back to Pentax with the lens. As you can see, the right side is significantly fuzzier than the left. This problem is apparent on 8x10 prints I've made at 300dpi. TO make sure that I didn't have a problem with the test setup, I did a "control" test with my FA 50mm F1.7. The left and right sides were equally crisp, so there's no test setup alignment issue. This one is going to California Precision Service (local Pentax warranty repair station here in Sacramento). I'll keep you posted on the outcome.... --Mark -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
