While I like the overall aesthetic presented here, if I didn't know  
that was a cat by the door I might not see it. The cat's features are  
obscured a little too much by the high contrast and grain ... you  
need to at least open up her shadow values a little bit.

Not sure what the 'faux IR' reference is in relation to this  
picture ... there's nothing in it that seems particularly IR-like.
