Thanks Frank. I was shooting off a tripod, so I made sure that sign was in 
frame.
In regard to the flare or specular highlight, to my mind burning it down just 
leaves it as a gray specular highlight, which doesn't really work. There's no 
detail there.  The ony alternative to leaving it alone would be to clone it 
out. I considered that, but I think I like it better with than without.
