Christine, Scott, Jack, Derby, David, Walt, Bruce, JCO, Thank you for the accolades! I made about 100 exposures, varying the part of the flute, angle, lighting, background, f/stop, exposure, etc.--so another shot or to may come along.
I like the idea of a B&W conversion; I'll try it this evening if I can. A different background may not be easy, but I'll see what I can come up with. We also have a piano, guitar, violin, clarinet, trumpet, and two recorders in the household, so I may broaden my repertoire. (No, I don't play any of them; though I am a fairly proficient bass-baritone).
