Sad to report that the Tony Sweet talk was sold out by the time I got back. So I stayed around for "Bird Photography" It reminded me of the first day of an Intro to Photo class. Sort of an overview of avian photography.
The big excitement was the wind. A front was blowing in from the west. Real hard. The talk was held in a tent. It didn't collapse, but sure was jumping and dancing around. Some of the staff stood on its skirts, and that helped some. But a couple of gusts set the aluminum frame a rattling. There were several photo vendors, in addition to the Zeiss guy, and everyone was packing up after the "Birds" talk. Time to go. All in all, it was a pleasant way to spend the day, and I discovered another really nice park in suburban DC . Boris- I was using the Tair 135mm I got from you. You can find them- the top two photos at <<http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/>> The "Fungus Ridden Westar" is the lens Scott was using. Wonder how a good copy of the lens works.
