Sad news indeed, Mark. Bernie was my favorite of the many good speakers I've been privileged to listen to and, in some cases, know at the many GFM functions over the years I've been fortunate enough to attend.

Most people know him as the photographer who took the iconic 1967 shot of war protesters placing flowers in the barrels of the guns of National Guard troops sent to quell the protest. A luck few of us know him as the guy who came to speak at the 2003 Grandfather Mountain Camera Clinic and hung around Bill Owens camper with us telling stories long into the night. Funny stories. Man, what a story teller! One hell of a nice, down to earth guy and a great photographer. http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/california/la-me-boston24jan24,1,55 43324.story -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
