C'mon, folks.  It's basic biology.

The lens mounts =on= the camera.

One puts film/cards =into= the camera.

Mysterious things happen and pictures come =out=.

Clearly the camera is female.

The mystery is why manual focus and medium format
cameras are referred to as MF.  Gets confusing.
