I agree with you there... otoh i;m not too interested in the awards but more in what its real world performance is like.
I've been waiting for a good 70-200 f2.8 --- would go for a genuine pentax offering if it was available and was considering the sigma offering but it is soft wide open at the long end. If the tamron delivers I think that it will be on my shopping list.
