Hi Bruce, I wouldn't normally comment if I'm not disposed to a photo, but your attitude to photography is mature enough to withstand an attack ;-) I won't tell you how to correct the pic, but what I will do is tell you what bugs me about it. IMO: 1. The crop is to close or too loose. I want to see more, or see less. If more, much more. At least the entire fiddle (I play bluegrass so that's not a violin ;-) I know she's holding the bow - I can *just* catch sight of it. 2. I do like the lighting but the overall effect is slightly too low key. The fiddle is all mixed up in the hair. 3. That background is atrocious and highly distracting. A wider crop may help, or a tighter shot wide open would soften it. 4. So, aside from all that, what have the bloody Romans ever done for us?!
