I'm not sure that the *ist (film), isn't the best right now. It's relatively recent. Will probably still be a manufacturer repairable camera for longer than the PZ will be. On the other hand it would probably be easier and cheaper to look for a good condition used body if something goes wrong. (The autofocus on the *ist is considerably more advance than on any of the others, though the viewfinder is probably inferior). So many trade offs.
