Frank,

Chicago is snow covered.  3-4 inches yesterday on top of existing
stuff.  I saw the sun briefly at sunrise, but am waiting for good
light.

I suppose part of the dark issue for me is the B & W rendering.  Even
though the sky is gloomy here, the snow is so white.  That just didn't
come thru in the photo.  I don't think it's your laptop lcd.
