Well, personally, I think it is one of  your better kid pics. The red hat, 
angle of shadow on cap, the kid looking over  from the left, seeing his lip, 
implied eyeing the lollipop like he wants it too,  makes it. The kid on the 
right 
does not bother me at all, gives context as a  line up of kids. 

Maybe judges just think kids are too easy (as in  flowers and pussy cats easy 
-- easy attention grabbers).

Little do they  know, if they think so. Well, maybe kids are easy grabbers, 
but not easy to  shoot well.
