I find that using the "A" setting on mine, I'm about 1 to 1.5 stops  
overexposed regardless of the settings.  Requires a healthy amount of  
compensation, unfortunately.

I can't remember if I have a v2 or v3 but I do know that it has an "A"  
setting and, I think, the max aperture varies depending upon zoom  
length.
