Just meeting him upset the Chinese. However the Chinese can deny it happened to their own people since there's no photographic evidence. (On the other hand, everything in the White House is Photographed by Staff Photographers, so while there are no independent pictures these will be released eventually, you can probably get them through a freedom of information act request if you can figure out what to ask for).
