Boris, if it helps, I believe the way to go is to hang on to your FF lenses as
long as you have
a camera that needs them. I still occasionally use my MZ-S (and other earlier
cameras too), so
I've kept a range of lenses from an 18-35 zoom to a 500mm long-focus which will
cover all my
needs there - and a few screw-mount for the Spotties and SV too, though not
with the same range
of focal lengths.
But, and principally because I'm going on a three-week overseas trip where
carrying a lot of
gear is impractical, I've just bought a DA16-45 and a DA50-200, which will be
my travelling kit,
along with the *istD an M50/1.7 for low-light stuff. That's it - I'm
reasonably sure I will
have enough coverage and sufficient quality that I won't regret not humping a
great range of kit
with me!
So for both film and digital, I will have dedicated gear, but with the
possibility of cross-over
where needed/desirable.

Incidentally, it must be some sort of tribute to the DA16-45 that the MTF
program line in the
*istD always chooses maximum aperture where it can: must have been designed to
be used mainly
wide open!
