Great film. It was fairly accurate, according to some I know who were  
around the business at that time.

BTW: Brother of a close friend just made a LSR at the Flats just the  
other day ... over two hundred mph on a production motorcycle (can't  
recall what class, think it's 600 or something like that).

And another ... When several friends of mine went out to run a Moto  
Guzzi LeMans at the Salt Flats a few years back (2004?) and capture  
its production class record, the bike they ran (and won) was wearing  
the production bellypan fairing from *my* 1989 LeMans Mark V. (They  
were rejected during scrutineering for production as they didn't have  
the lower piece. I got a desperate phone call and FedEx'ed the part  
unbolted from my bike that morning, and they won their record later  
that week.)

Makes ya proud to be part of this madness. ;-)
