Matte papers seem to be less prone to outgassing, probably because the checmicals can move out of the front and back of the paper sheet.
- MCC =========== Thanks, Mark. I also saw Ken post about the Epson PDF later. Yup, had that, been there. And wondered what the heck it was. I thought it had something to do with framing too soon (maybe still damp), which I have done sometimes. Didn't realize the photo paper used could make a difference and didn't know about laying a paper on top (that's cool). Some have definitely seemed to do it more than others, so I will pay attention now and see if I can figure out the variables in my printing. I also clean with Windex and wondered if that was the causative factor. It does seem to go away or lessen with time. At some point later, I usually open the frames and clean and then it lessens. This has been a very informative thread, thanks to Mark and others for clearing this, heh, up.
