I think Mark is just in that kinda mood - the color in your photo is 
great -- the only point I see to
converting color shots to black and white is if color is distracting 
either on a subject level or a
purely visual one.

A black and white would make it more of a cliche  - because the lighting 
is good, etc.., but the
gradations of color in that leaf are lovely - too bad put didn't get it 
into the October pug
