You might hunt for a Pentax 16/3.5 ... I don't buy Sigma lenses and the difference between a 17 and an 18 isn't worth the expense IMO. A better lens might be worth it, however.
However, I suspect the Pentax DA14/2.8 or DA12-24/4 are better performers on the DSLR (Cotty's FrankenCanonPentax 16mm notwithstanding... ;-).
