I just had my *Ist D seviced: New shutter release button, AF adjusted, CCD
cleaned, card release button fixed.
I paid A LOT for this - appr. 400 USD. But after 50.000 shots I had to do
something for my "back-up DSLR"..
It seem the shutter button isn't very well made.

Emne: *ist shutter button problems

The shutter release on the body of my *ist isn't working. It still auto
focuses with a half-press, but the shutter won't release when the button
is fully depressed. If the battery grip is attached I can fire the
shutter with the grip's button, so I'm guessing the switch under the
button on the body is damaged. Before sending her off to Colorado I
thought I'd pick the collective brain to see if there are any other
possible solutions.

Thanks!
