You could spend your live like I do ... writing code that tickles the innermost nether regions of the operating system and network infrastructure [anti-virus and intrusion prevention/detection systems]. :-) I live in a world where whatever 1/3GHz works out to in time (? 33 nsec ?) actually matters and fatal faults aren't tolerated. The only saving grace is that if I ask the CPU the same question ten times, I get the same answer ten times.
