You got lots of good answers on this already. Just thought I'd add that 
the Pentax Mz-S lets you rewind the film, with the leader out, and then 
pop it back into the camera and advance it to the frame after the last 
frame shot. A rather esoteric feature, but one that I used a fair amount 
when I was heavy into film shooting.
