I like the color version, but for good reason: Aside from your boy's skin tones, the rest of the image is almost monochromatic blue tones. His clothes are blue, and the shade that the scene is in makes everything else look blue- ish. Thus, the saturated warm tones of his skin and hair make a very good contrast, and really make the image pop.
- my goodness, what an awesome point you just made. I was leaning towards the color one but couldn't explain why, because normally I like my pictures in black and white. Thank you so much for pointing that out, and maybe next time I'll do it on purpose :o) Quite often, the key to getting great kid pics is to get down to their level. Shoot from your knees. Paul Get some more of his face next time. Bob S. - you know, both of you guys are right - I bet this would have been a great picture if I had gotten down lower - and gotten more of his face in the process. I'm really short, so I guess getting down doesn't really occur to me - but I will certainly remember that next time I'm snapping him up! rg2 On 8/21/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I can't > > decide if I like it in color or black and white, which is the next > > photo over.
