There are three different versions that I know of, the f4.5 Takumar and SMC Takumar 4.5 which I think are identical in optical formula to the K 4.5. Either of those should be very good. The SMC version would be the best of course. The other is an old 2 element 1 group design at f5.0 That one strikes me more as a collectors item than a usable lens for a modern camera, (then again I still use a 12mm T mount fisheye with Waterhouse stops on my *ist-D and Ds so maybe the f5.o would be fun to use. As to value I haven't got a clue but there are several on ebay right now, prices running from about $100, to $400. . Even the K version has a manual diaphragm so functionally the M42 lens is identical to the K.
