You need to understand workflow when working with large numbers of exposures. I strongly recommend "Real World Camera Raw with Photoshop CS2" by Bruce Fraser. (It's equally applicable to CS3 or PSE, in concepts. For Lightroom, there are books by both Scott Kelby and Martin Evening which can give you an idea how to deal with large numbers of photos efficiently.) In PS CS2-3 with Bridge, organize your photos into large sets of similar values. Set RAW parameters for one, then copy and paste to all the others in the set. Once all the sets are 'roughed in', break them up into smaller sets and do over. Now sort them and discard the ones not worth processing, cull down to a reasonable number, and batch convert to Photoshop or TIFF format. In Lightroom, the entire environment is designed to do this process quickly and efficiently with hundreds of files at a time. I go out shooting several times a week and return from each session with 60-300 exposures, it's a 20 minute task to import, keyword, do a first pass sort, and set up rough settings for each session, producing images good enough to determine validity for inclusion in a project and further processing. > BTW, I took the K10 with two full batteries and forgot the > charger. I bought one from BestBatt.com for $20 that works great: http://www.bestbatt.com/Konica_Minolta_NP_400_Battery_Charger_p/ bbnp400chg.htm Works with both AC and automotive 12VDC power.
