Well that is approx. 1800x1800 pixels. By camera resolution they probably mean that that they do not want itsy-bitsy little images blown up a gazillon diameters, e.g. cel-phone photos. A professional looking 6x6 inch (150mm x 150mm) 300ppi image should make them quite happy.
The interesting thing is that GWR are probably going to down size that image to about 2x2 inches for publication. You often have to read between the lines to understand their thinking. One of my favorite stories I heard long long ago was when a Life Magazine editor sent a photo to the lab with instructions to resize it "life size". He was dismayed to get back a 5x7 (foot) print. What he actually wanted was a "full-page" print. -- graywolf http://www.graywolfphoto.com http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" ----------------------------------- David J Brooks wrote: > Hi Gang. > > Seems my internest is ok, for the time being. > > I have been asked, as i'm the "official" radio station photog guy, to > document the Guiness World Record we will attempt June 30 for the > largest whistle off. > > Wehope to gather several hundred or more to whistle continuously for 5 > minutes.
