Speaking of marketing (I know, I know - nobody was talking about
marketing; this is a marketing thread after all...)
I went to a MLB baseball game a couple of weeks ago (KC Royals vs.
somebody). Right behind homeplate there was an electronic billboard
on the fence, maybe 3x5 feet. One-third of the time it showed
[Pentax] in its bright red letters on a black background. Or maybe
the other way around. Anyway, definitely eye catching and a good
position for anyone who might have been watching via TV as it would
be in the immediate background for any shot of the batter from center
field. I took a few very forgettable shots of the sign to go with the
mostly forgettable other shots I took of the game.

But fishing? Somebody unreeled a too-good-to-be-true offer and Pentax
went for it, hook, line and sinker...
