Just a quick write-up with a few "thank yous" at the bottom.

Ann and I arrived about 12:30 Friday morning. Ann went to sleep soon
after making the rounds. I didn't take many photos this year, but had a
blast anyway.

The first presenter was Tony Sweet. While Tony is certainly a fine
photographer, his presentation really sucked. What started out as a
description of photograph technique quickly became an infomercial for
the gear we absolutely need if we want to take pictures.

Mark Cassino's presentation was amazing. Wonderful photographs,
excellent advice, and an informal, casual delivery style made it very
enjoyable.

Dick Ginkowski's presentation was also very good. Wonderful photographs
and good advice on how to travel for the purpose of taking pictures. He
went a little long and spent a bit too much time on using the net for
research, but otherwise did pretty well. If you've never heard of him,
or haven't seen his photos, a little googling should go a long way.
It's worth the time.

The nightly revelry was most enjoyable, as was catching up with old
friends and making new ones. Thanks to: Cesar for the use of the M3.
Mark Roberts for leading the hike, the half-brick of film, and for all
that behind the scenes stuff. Tom Reese for the use of his 43LTD (which
is now on my short list). Cotty for not making me set up the tent at
1am. Ann for the conversation on the long drive there and back.
Whomever brought the Blue Moon - a few bottles came home with me. Doug
for not making fun of me too much, and for doing all that work stuff
during the weekend. A big, whopping thanks to Don Nelson for doing all
that stuff only Don can do. It wouldn't be the NPW without him.

Ann and I made it home just before 1 am Monday morning. She boarded the
train to Philly at noon after a short walk around Harrisburg.

For those of you who were at the NPW, send me a short write up and one
or two photos. I'll post them at pdmlpug.org.
