The 285HV is built with digital cameras in mind.  The trigger voltage is 
in the neighborhood of 6v.  I've read that Pentax DSLRs should be good 
to about 30v, though I wouldn't want to risk it with a trigger voltage 
that high.  You should be safe with the new 285.
