I've also seen news stories reporting one  of the conditions the new board, 
ie the board that ousted Urano, wanted was that  Pentax would operate as an 
independent subsidiary for two years after being  bought. IE that cameras would 
continue to be made for two years after the Hoya  buy out. As to whether their 
conditions were accepted, we don't know yet. Lots  going on here, more than 
mere money. And, yes, I mean mere.
