Raw Therapee is a nice RAW converter. It's absolutely free and destroys Bibble & co. in terms of output quality and usability.
As for the interface it's butt-fugly. Some kind of off-white creamy color. Bleh. There is a file in the installed folder caled GTKRC, with no extension. This is a text file that stores the interface settings. Basically it defiles the colors that are applied to predefined interface elements. I adapted a Linux theme called Marble-Look for RT.
