Thanks Jens. Leica M-bayonet mount register is a bit too short for any SLR to be adapted and achieve infinity focus, but adapters can be had for nearly any SLR mount lens of consequence:

I'm thinking my old Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 AI-S was very compact and an excellent performer, and there are lots of them available at very good prices nowadays.
