The Pentax is much more reliable in terms of providing good exposures and firing consistently in high-speed synch mode. However, I never used the Sigma with the K10D, only with the D. So the comparison might not be valid. But with the D and the Sigma, the camera wouldn't always recognize that the flash was set for high-speed synch and I couldn't get a shutter speed over 1.150th. I used to have to clean the contacts frequently to make things work. The Pentax flash on the K10D works well all the time. And as I said, the exposures are more accurate. When I get the Sigma back, I'll try it on the K10D and see how it compares when used on the later camera.
