I read a note in a local mail forum, stating Pentax does lousy JPEG's. So,I deared him to actually tell the difference by eyesight. He couldn't, naturally

No way JPEG's from a K10D would ever look this way, using neutral settings. Even with firmware 1. I guess he tampered with the tests and shot out of focus deliberately in order to miscredit this "inferior amateur camera brand".
