My annual trip to the California Gold Rush country at the Sierra
foothills went by too swiftly, as usual. It's been a long hard couple
of months of work here and I spent most of the weekend just hanging
out with my friends, doing very little other than talking, reading
and enjoying doing nothing.

I brought the K10D with me and the usual lens kit. I did a bunch of
new still life exposures I haven't processed yet, on Saturday morning
in the dim natural light of the Pioneer Hotel. Some good stuff coming
from that, from the looks of it. The K10D and DA14/DA21/FA28 really
do a wonderful job.

But of course I also snapped a bunch of photos of my friends. I
switched fluidly between my various lenses, although I expect that
most of these were taken with the DA21, FA28 and FA43. I don't recall
that I used the DA70 at all.

There's both a flash-driven AV presentation and a still gallery of
the same photos. It will take a little while to load but plays while
it's loading if your machine has enough bandwidth to handle both
simultaneously.
