If you can get far enough away, use a 50mm lens. If not, use a 35mm.  
Don't use anything wider than 35, since you have the space and can  
avoid it. You'll probably have to shoot from a ladder to get  
everyone's face in the pic with that large a group. But since you'll  
have outdoor light, you shouldn't need a tripod. But see if you can  
steady the camera on the top step of the ladder as you shoot. Shoot  
in open shade or on a slightly cloudy day if possble. Check your DOF  
to make sure everyone is in focus. Tell the subjects to make sure  
they can see the lens.
