First impression - I like it! At web size the blue flowers merge together into something of a blue haze. If at a larger resolution the flowers hold up, then you have a real winner. It's hard to tell if the flowers are merging together because they are unsharp, or if they are mering because it is a small photo.
The leaves and the sparse foreground contribute to the composition - a consistent field of flowers from foreground on would not lead the eye into the frame as effectively as this. And besides - you can only shoot what's there!
