A co-worker came in Monday with some problems. He has been training for a triathlon and went for a bike ride Sunday. He got about half a block from home and his foot came out of the pedal. He caught it in the front wheel spokes, stopped dead, and went over on his head. He broke the bike helmet into 3 pieces. The plastic surgeon used 30 stiches to sew his ear back on. He fractured his elbow and his radius (forearm bone), and is in a sling. And his cheekbone is broken and visibly depressed, a later repair. Regards, Bob S.
